About the GravaStar Mercury K1 Pro Interstellar Silver
The GravaStar Mercury K1 Pro Interstellar Silver is a 75% wireless mechanical keyboard built around a sci-fi aluminum skeleton frame. It is GravaStar's top model in the Mercury K1 line, above the K1 and K1 Lite, and it is the only one with the foldable claw-style legs and an FR4 plate.
Under the design, it is a serious typing board: gasket mount, 5 layers of foam, hot-swappable switches, tri-mode connection and an 8000mAh battery. It suits gamers, writers and anyone who wants a keyboard that looks different from the usual black rectangle.
Skeleton Frame with Foldable Legs
The aluminum alloy frame wraps the keyboard like an exoskeleton. The two legs at the top corners are not just decoration - they are the adjustable feet. Keep them folded for a flat angle, or open them to raise the back.
Reviewers who tested it say the legs feel solid, not wobbly, and click firmly into place. The Interstellar Silver finish pairs the silver frame with a translucent body that lets the lighting glow through.
Gasket Mount and 5-Layer Foam
The plate sits on silicone gaskets instead of being screwed to the case, so each keypress has a slight cushioned feel. Five layers of foam fill the empty space inside, which removes the hollow, metallic ping many cheaper boards have.
The result is a soft, creamy "thock" sound that most reviewers called one of the K1 Pro's best points.
Stellar Void Linear Switches - Fast and Smooth
The Interstellar Silver edition comes with GravaStar Stellar Void linear switches. With 45gf force and a short 1.2mm pre-travel, keys register quickly without being pressed all the way down - useful for fast typing and gaming.
- Linear: no bump, no click - smooth from top to bottom
- Hot-swappable: pull a switch and push in a new one, no soldering
- 3-pin and 5-pin support: works with most MX-style switches on the market
- 4 spare switches are included in the box
Tri-Mode Wireless and 8000mAh Battery
Connect by 2.4GHz receiver for gaming, Bluetooth for laptops and tablets (up to 3 devices), or USB Type-C cable when you want zero delay. Wired and 2.4GHz both run at 1000Hz polling.
The 8000mAh battery is rated for up to 470 hours, depending on lighting. One reviewer reported only a 2% drop after 15 hours of use.
Dual RGB Lighting
There are two separate lighting systems: per-key RGB under the keycaps and a 270° ambient light around the frame, with lights in the legs too. Both can run different colors and effects, set through the GravaStar software or with key shortcuts.
What Reviewers Noticed After Using It
What people liked:
- Build quality - feels heavy-duty and premium in the hand
- Sound and feel - creamy, no ping or hollow echo
- Typing speed - Tom's Guide's reviewer scored 95 WPM on it, above her average across all keyboards tested
- Battery - lasts for weeks of normal use
What to know before buying:
- The design is bold - you will either love it or not
- Software is Windows only - Mac users change lighting with key shortcuts
- No VIA/QMK support - limited for people who build custom key layers
- The logo panel can't be customized - it only shows the GravaStar logo
- Heavy at about 1.18kg - better as a desk keyboard than a travel one

GravaStar Mercury K1 Pro - Frequently Asked Questions
Is the GravaStar Mercury K1 Pro wireless?
Yes. It connects in three ways: 2.4GHz wireless with the included receiver, Bluetooth with up to 3 devices, and USB Type-C wired. For gaming, use 2.4GHz or wired, which run at 1000Hz. Bluetooth runs at 125Hz and is better for office work.
How long does the GravaStar Mercury K1 Pro battery last?
The 8000mAh battery is rated for up to 470 hours. Real battery life depends on how bright the RGB lighting is. With lighting on, expect weeks of normal use between charges. It charges through the USB Type-C cable.
Does the GravaStar Mercury K1 Pro work with Mac?
Yes. It has a dedicated Win/Mac toggle and works with macOS over Bluetooth, 2.4GHz or cable. The GravaStar customization software is Windows only, but Mac users can still change the lighting with key shortcuts.
Can I change the switches on the GravaStar Mercury K1 Pro?
Yes. The K1 Pro is fully hot-swappable and supports both 3-pin and 5-pin MX-style switches. Use the included puller to remove a switch and press a new one in - no soldering needed. Four spare switches come in the box.
What is the difference between the Mercury K1 Pro, K1 and K1 Lite?
The K1 Pro is the top model with the aluminum skeleton frame, foldable legs and an FR4 plate. The K1 keeps the aluminum case and 8000mAh battery but has no legs and uses a PC plate. The K1 Lite has a plastic case, a 4000mAh battery and no volume toggle.
